Birthdays are often thought of in terms of celebrating that person being born. It’s their birthday, their celebration. As a mom I tend to think of it a little differently. On my child’s birthday, I was blessed with another human being that came out of me, who will forever be a part of my DNA. So on her birthday I am really celebrating the most precious gift I was ever given! The pain and complications of her birth make me forever grateful for her life! I am sure most moms would feel the same way!
That brings me to how God must view us just a little. You see His word says He formed us in our mother’s womb. He is the ultimate creator of our lives. He has a plan for us, a destiny that He preordained. He knows our thoughts, the hairs on our heads, and who we really are down to the core.
Recently I’ve been on a journey learning about my birth mom. I was adopted at birth and given to a family that nurtured and protected me, yet I didn’t know much about my birth mom. As I am learning more, I can look back and see how God was protecting me even then. If I feel overwhelmed with gratitude for the gift of my own child, I can only imagine how God must feel about us, His creation! Our very lives are a testament to His love for us! He is our Creator. I was just a conduit of my child, yet I am overwhelmed with love for her. I can only imagine how God must love us, His creation.
May this post help you realize just how much God loves you! You are His biggest deal! He has your picture imprinted not on a refrigerator, or a wall, but in His heart! A love we can only imagine! John3:16
I dedicate this post to the most precious gift ever given to me. My child born on this day 26 years ago today. May God’s blessing and favor forever keep and protect you! Happy Birthday!
Love,
Mom
