The song verse that is on my heart is "My Savior lives, my God he is always there for me". What a blessed assurance we have in Christ to know that he is always there for us, even when we forget. Through rough spots we all get discouraged and question, what is going on, where am I going, how am I suppose to get out of this? When we have run out of strength and tried all we know to do and we are forced to say I do not know, what to do next, that is when God ultimately shows up.
It is like the lifeguard who has to wait for the victim to pass out before they can go in and save them. If you are like me you tend to have your flailing moments too, for which God has to say, "When you want my help, just ask". Hmm.... I thought I did, but then I proceeded as if I did not ask.
I have a daughter that has that knack as well. "Mom what do you think about this and then proceeds to tell me that I am all wrong when I give an answer." As a parent I respond much like I am sure God does with me, "Well Dear, why did you ask in the first place if you think you know all the answers"? Pretty arrogant no doubt, yet I am sure we are all guilty of the same at some point, if not in word, then in deed.

Our hope is in a loving God that knows our every need. Listen to the words of the song and be encouraged in whatever situation you find yourself today.
